Directing woes of woefulness?

hey

i'm keen on wildlife filmography. now ive heard that there are 3 places in the world you can do this degree. luckily im in nz so i can actually do it. now heres my problem. im halfway through a zoology degree and not getting great grades, so i have 2 options. 1. carry on with zoology and do a masters in wildlife filmography or 2. go to another uni and do a film degree and work at weta workshop (people who helped make the lotr trilogy).... what would you do?

do an internship (e.g. during vacations) with somebody making film. Figure out if that's what you actually want to do and that you are willing to put the effort and extra work into it do get good grades there. If you think you can get good grades in that, then change. I don't think you can very get far in zoology with bad grades. Lab tech is about it.

It will be tons of work and you probably have to say goodbye to most of your social life though. You will have to work most of the time to compete.
