Directions to Six Flags Magic Mountain?!?

I'm planning to go with my friend on Thursday. I just need to know how to get there from Pasadena :/ (using the metro rail/bus/etc..?) btw, how long does it take to get there and will I be able to get back home the same way once the park closes?! I may need info on the metro day pass or w/e also..I've only used the metro once to go to Hollywood, so i need a lot of help D:

well from the Gold line you can take to Union station

then can board the metrolink (they do not honor the day pass)

then you can take the Metrolink to the newhall station

(get a round trip ticket from metrolink)

then transfer to SCT )Santa Clarita transit) 1 or 2 which will take to the mcbean

transfer center then transfer again to another SCT line 3 or 7

to magic mountain

(hold on to your metrolink ticket as it acts like a pass for connecting transit (and will even been valid for the return trip

back to Pasadena)

also SCT does have some commuter runs to Union station

You can take Gold Line to Union Station.  From there you'll have to take a Santa Clarita bus.  See mta.net (type in "Pasadena" and "Six Flags Magic  Mountain").
