Directors Wit vanquished the 9 to 4 F Romeo Dasher for M Wallis in the S. Walsh Recycling & Construction Solutions Sprint
Lorraine Elliot 1967 Birthdays Staked – Race Void was scheduled at 7:40, but unfortunately as the race continued it got revoked. The lure suddenly got broken, and it stopped moving, due to which the 515 meters race was called off.
Later on at 8:00 the S. Walsh Recycling & Construction Solutions Sprint took place on schedule. The show went in the favour of M Wallis, who started considering himself lucky as his white and black dog Directors Wit, got hold of the wire.
The 3 to 1, not the most ideal hound of the race covered the 238 meters distance in 14.77 seconds, and won the purse worth £500 for M Wallis.
Directors Wit won by defeating his five contenders, among the lot of hounds Romeo Dasher, the 9 to 4 most favourite of the show, tragically finished sixth for trainer S Saberton.
Directors Wit who soon placed himself at lead after starting his chase from trap 1, whitewashed P Young’s West Way Ranger by 2 ½ lengths.
The trap 2 racer placed himself at the second position, and due to his lethargic pace got left behind. The 10 to 1 started chasing the lure with a good pace, but this strategy did not help him out to get through the hassle.
Covering the required distance in 14.97 seconds, the black dog not only concluded his chase, but he also defeated Brinkleys Gogo by 1 ¼ lengths, who was in the show for trainer T Taylor.
The white and black dog though led the race for few seconds, later on he could not keep up his pace and completed his target in 15.07 seconds.
J Foster’s trap 4 chaser, Ardera Blaze got whitewashed by Brinkleys Gogo with a head bob. The black dog tried every chance to cope up with the situation, but sadly nothing worked out and in 15.08 seconds J Foster’s hound finished fourth in the S. Walsh Recycling
& Construction Solutions Sprint.
Fifth position was in Knights Pride’s fate, who was sent off as the 3 to 1 favourite raced for K O’Flaherty. The white and black hound began his chase with extreme lethargic speed, later on he was forced wide twice.
In total estimated time of 15.41 seconds Knights Pride reached the finish line.
The last one to cross over was Romeo Dasher, the unlucky hound could not perform the way trainer S Saberton pictured. The black dog started off from trap 6, during his chase he was forced to wide twice that made him finish sixth.
