Directv or Dish Network?

I am sick of cable and want to get Dish service. I have been doing research and can not come to a conclusion. I have and HD TV and the only difference I can tell is that Directv has more channels. Which is better Directv or Dish Network?

Directv has more HD and will have more than Dish for quite a while...

Directv HD: 95 channels, 150 capacity by 9/2008, 200 in 2009. The satellite for up to 150 is already up and being positioned.

Dish HD: 80 channels, no immenent expansion. The satellite they put up to expand beyond 80 failed and has been scrapped.

We have Dish Network and are very satisfied. I would decide on which system carries the most channels that you watch. That you watch, is the key. I don't care how many shopping channels and religious channels and like that they have because I don't watch them.

Either one is better than cable.

i really like directv it has a bunch on hd channels although you have to pay extra to get them and dvr through directv works well. i've had over a year and havent had any problems
