The Dutchman, who has thus far represented the Flying Dutchmen in 85 matches and added his name to the score-sheet 24 times, went on to admit that the Red and Whites have improved their game a lot since the 2010 World Cup.
“Denmark have improved a lot since then. They have won five of their last six meetings with Portugal, which indicates that they are a stronger team and have become more stable”, Kuyt concluded.
Netherlands are drawn in the Group B along with http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Portugal-c2984. The pool is touted as the toughest group in the competition, and pundits have termed it as the ‘Group of Death’.
The Flying Dutchmen will begin their European Championship venture against the Danish Dynamite at Metalist Kharkiv Stadium on Saturday, June 9.
Kuyt will be hoping that his side commence the competition brightly, and secure all three points in their opening tie in order to enhance their chances of progressing through to the quarter-final.
