Gerrard recently returned from his six-month lay-off following a groin injury, which he suffered in March 2011. have increased the depth and the quality of the squad.
While speaking about the quality of Liverpool’s current squad, the Dutch striker said, “The additions to the squad have made us much stronger.”
“It is brilliant for the club that we now have so many top-class internationals to choose from. But the return of Steven Gerrard will be important too,” the Dutchman added.
Kuyt has heaped praise on Luis Suarez’s extraordinary impact at the Merseyside club and believes that the Uruguayan will be very crucial to Liverpool’s hopes of finishing in the top four.
The 24-year-old has taken the Barclays Premier League by storm since joining from Ajax Amsterdam in January 2011. Suarez has become a vital member of Kenny Dalglish’s squad, and Kuyt believes that the former Ajax player will further improve to become a world
class striker.

“But it is my belief he will be even better in the future. He's still young, so he has time on his side to get used to new team-mates, and to get used to the Premier League properly,” Dirk Kuyt concluded.
