Ever since his move to the Liverpool Kuyt has not cemented himself has a prolific goal scorer for the Merseyside giants but the Dutch forward will have a chance to retain his fine goal scoring record in cup finals for the Reds
when they take on Chelsea in the final of the F.A Cup.
Liverpool gained a place in the F.A Cup final at the expense of their local rivals http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Everton-c39043 as they disposed off the Toffees in the semis. Kuyt failed to make it to the score line in that tie but before that he was on the score
sheet for Liverpool when they defeated Cardiff on penalties in the Carling Cup final.

He said, "I am proud that, after the Champions League final and the final of the Carling Cup, for the third time I am with Liverpool in a final. I will do everything to ensure that in the third final I prove my worth with a goal.
It is a disappointment that I did not play [against Everton]."
He added, "I expected to come on and you hope to be the first to come on but that was not to be. But there have been some important moments for me in the FA Cup, such as my goal against Manchester United (which was the late winner
in round four)."
