the striker was seen as a crafty player but under Rafael Benitez’s regime he was transformed from a striker to a right sided winger. Under Roy Hodgson, Kuyt was employed in the same role and that trend has also persisted under the recently departed Kenny Dalglish.
Dalglish’s dismissal at Liverpool has prompted a wave of crisis to hit the club as the Reds are now without a manager. The 2011-2012 league season was a disappointing one for Liverpool as they failed to challenge for a UEFA Champions
League spot and ended the season with just a single trophy i.e. the Carling Cup.

He added, "I'm aware of Hamburg's interest and I feel flattered. I'm focusing on the national team for now, though. A number of other Bundesliga sides want me as well, but other European clubs are also after me. I have not decided
anything yet. My agent knows what I want, and he's doing all the hard work."
Louis Van Gaal has been touted up as one of the replacements for Kenny Dalglish at the club which is surely in decline now. However it should be noted that Liverpool will take part in the Europa League next season courtesy of their
