The former Utrecht striker open to a move to Stadio Olimpico Rome; growing frustrated over lack of first-team opportunities at Anfield

Liverpool are preparing a major overhaul in the summer transfer window, and are likely to offload several of their players. Kuyt’s place in Kenny Dalglish’s squad has come under scrutiny as the versatile attacker has failed to
establish himself as a first-team starter.
The former http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Feyenoord-c39258 man has been used as an understudy to some of the key players in the starting line-up. The 31-year-old recently admitted his frustration for the lack of playing opportunities, and insisted that he will leave
the Anfield if he is not guaranteed adequate playing time.
Kuyt’s words have attracted the Giallorossi, who are in the process of a major overhaul of their squad. Recent media reports have linked the Dutch international with a move to Eredivisie and Serie A, and the player’s agent has
confirmed that the latter option attracts his client.
Agent, Rob Jansen, hailed AS Roma’s new project under Luis Enrique, and insisted that his client will remain open to a move to Stadio Olimpico Rome.
While talking to the reporters, Rob Jansen said:
"Kuyt is considering his future. He still has a contract with Liverpool which expires in 2014. AS Roma could be an option for Dirk. They are a prestigious club that is fighting for important objectives. With (Roma's sporting director,
Walter) Sabatini there is an excellent relationship.”

The former Utrecht star joined Liverpool from Feyenoord in the 2006 season, and has gone on to make 276 appearances for the Anfield side. The attacker has also amassed 71 goals for the Reds. Despite being a regular in the starting
line-up, the current season has not been so fruitful for the Dutchman, as he scored only five goals in 35 matches played thus far.
Kuyt might cost the Italian club around 8 million Euros.
