Dirk Kuyt’s injury will affect Netherland in Euro 2012 and Liverpool in EPL - Part 1

More misery has been unleashed on Liverpool, and this time it is the injury issue that is causing them this new despair. This time it is the injury of their star attacking midfielder and winger, Dirk Kuyt.
The Merseyside has been bombarded with troubles the whole summer and injuries have been a major part of their worries since last season. Last season the major reason Liverpool performed dismissively was because they had all their major players injured. Therefore in the main events, which for them mostly consists of the second leg they gave one of their worst performances in recent times.
It is widely known that Liverpool’s former manager, Rafael Benitez makes a strong come back in the second part of the season that is in January. Last season however half of his first line up was injured at the same time and that included players like their captain Steven Gerrard who was out because of a groin injury and similarly so was the Israeli player, Yossi Benayoun. Furthermore, the Dutch player Kuyt was also out and so were the team’s secondary strikers.
All this had definitely damaged a lot of the Reds campaign but it was the injury of world class striker Fernando Torres that really hammered the final nail in Liverpool’s coffin for the season and started a gloomy summer.
Due to Torrres’ lack of presence Liverpool lost many crucial points by obtaining draws from novice teams and suffering heavy defeats from teams in the top part of the League.
This ultimately showed that the club needed to buy in some players desperately amidst all the financial woes; an opinion that was also later presented by many players from the club, who also threatened to leave if their demands were not met. Eventually that did happen.
There was some hope brought to Anfield in the later parts of the summer before the FIFA 2010 World in South Africa as a Chinese company QSL came very close to buying out the club. This came as a relief to many but later QSL took back its bid saying that the American owners were unwilling to negotiate their 700 million pound offer claim.
The owners Tom Hicks and George Gillett also refused the offer later as they declared that the Chinese investment company was failing to elaborate where the organization was getting their funds from. It is said, the company was funded by Chinese government and for the signing of the club they were taking funds from Royal Bank of Scotland.
Now there is no funding for the club and they are in massive debts, still under these conditions their new manager Roy Hodgson has accomplished an exceptionally good job. He has signed top players under a tight budget and is trying to improve the club steadily.
However the injury issue has the lead the club into despair again as their star Netherland international, Dirk Kuyt has sustained an injury to his shoulder and will be out for 4 weeks.
Dirk Kuyt’s last match was against San Marino and now it is obvious that he will be out of the Euro 2012 qualification stages. This will definitely affect the team as the Oranje’s progress to the finals of FIFA 2010 World Cup South Africa is widely credited to Kuyt who accomplished the largest number of assists in the tournament.
