Dirk Nowitzki, Dwyane Wade, LeBron James: Top performers from the game-5 of the NBA Finals

Dallas Mavericks 112 - Miami Heat 103
Playing at the American Airlines Centre on Thursday night, five players from the Dallas Mavericks landed double figures to marshal the team for yet another electrifying 112-103 victory over the Miami Heat. The Mavericks lead the
NBA Finals series 3-2 and both the teams will now be heading towards the South Beach to play the remaining two games of the series.
An overview on the best performances of the game-5 of the Finals is discussed below.
Dirk Nowitzki
The influential scoring machine of the Mavericks Dirk Nowitzki fuelled the engine for the team once again and erupted with another dominating performance. The 32-year-old Nowitzki racked up a game-high 29 points and clutched 6
rebounds to strengthen the hopes of Dallas for their first NBA championship title.
The star of the night Nowitzki kept soaring and scoring till the end and said, "We didn't want to go to Miami and give them basically two shots to close us out. So we kept plugging there in the fourth. So definitely a big win for
us,”
Dirk was once again flawless from the charity strip and buried 10 free throws on as many attempts. Nowitzki’s running slam dunk shot with 2:45 minutes remaining in the final buzzer was the decisive moment for Dallas from where
they clinched a brilliant win.
Jason Jerry
The prolific shooter Jason Terry hampered the Miami Heat down the stretch when they were finally looking good in the start of the fourth quarter. Miami was leading with three points when Terry buried a blistering blow from beyond
the arc to tie the game 100-100 and went on with another 3-pointer to thrash the Heat out of the game.
Terry finished off with 21 points, 6 assists and 4 boards and sparked the team commandingly in the defining moments of the game.
Dwyane Wade
The shooting guard Dwyane Wade posted another outstanding performance and powered Miami in the fourth quarter as well however he failed to match the brilliance of Nowitzki and Terry. Wade landed a team-high 23 points and dished
out 8 assists in almost 34 minutes of playing time.
Wade was impressively dominant in the last 12 minutes and smashed the Mavericks with 10 points including a scorching blow from downtown however his super efforts resulted insufficient in the end.
LeBron James
After the worst performance of his career in the game-4 of the NBA Finals, the small forward LeBron James made a comeback with a brilliant triple-double. James notched up 17 points, 10 boards and 10 assists to keep his team in
a competitive position however he failed to dominate in the fourth quarter once again.
