To put a similar show as he showed in the last season would be difficult task but for Nowitzki it’s not impossible. Total fitness should be his primary priority and as long as he stays fit, he would most likely repeat similar kind
of performance as he performed in the last season. His last season’s total stats are very positive to describe his future performance. He total played 73 games in the 2010-2011 season and averaged 23 points per game.
Nowitzki not only played well in the regular season, but he also performed wonderfully in the post NBA season. His playoff average remained constant where he scored with 27.7 points per game. The playoffs performance combined with
finals performance provided a great reward when he was declared the Most Valuable Player (MVP). Nowitzki tremendous individual performance helped the Dallas Mavericks to won the NBA title against the Miami Heat in June 12th.
Many foreign players have made into the league but few have succeeded with an NBA title. He entered into the league in 1998 NBA draft when the Milwaukee Bucks selected him 9th overall but soon traded to the Mavericks.
After playing 13 years in the league he is being regarded as best foreign player who played in the biggest basketball in the world. His brilliant talent stunned the basketball world when he played consistently for the Mavericks in every game. His true talent
soon picked the hype and his steady performance improved his stats.
The 2010-2011 season proved blessing in disguise for him as he become NBA champion. The Dallas Mavericks started the season with great confidence and eventually qualified for the playoffs. The playoffs performance was even brilliant
which helped them win the championship. Nowitzki on the other also performed consistently which ultimately provided a great contentment when he won the NBA title for the first time in his career.
Many loyal fans of Nowitzki and Mavericks are expecting even greater basketball from him. He has to prove himself again in the next season. Though the lockout in the NBA will provide some extra time to Nowitzki, but he still needs
a great effort to show similar kind of performance.
The road towards the Championship is over as the Mavericks ended the season on a high note while Nowitzki is the only reason behind in the Mavericks win. His individual performance ranked high as compare to all other player in
the Mavericks roster. To be a MVP again seems difficult, but for Nowitzki it still seems very easy. He has always been a great fighter and his same quality of being a fighter would most likely give him another chance next season to compete in the NBA-finals.
