Dirt Bike Seat and Wheel Height?

Question

Hi, I am planning on purchasing a dirt bike and i am not sure what the wheel height should be and how high the seat should be. I am 5'7" and I would really appreciate some suggestions. And do you recommend any specific dirt bikes 4 or 2 stroke I don't care.

First you should go to a dealer and sit on some and see which one fits you better.  Personally i like the four strokes.

they're a little bit easier to maintain and they ride really nice.

2 stoke is cheaper, 4 stroke is faster

Go to a dealership and sit on the bikes, pick the size you fit on.

I'm not saying you should buy a new one. I just wanted to see which you fit on.

5'7" is tall enough for any bike. Even though I raced 2 strokes for most of my life I would not recommend one to anybody outside of an experienced GNCC or hare scramble racer. The 4 strokes are just better in every category. Any of the big 5 250F's would be great. Just know that Honda, Yamaha and KTM offer both a motocross version and a woods version. Kawasaki and Suzuki only offer an MX version.
