Dirt bike Transport HELP

Question

im 17 and i finally convinced my parents to get me a dirt bike!!! i promised them i would never drive it on the road. my mom has a clk mercedes and my dad has a porsche so how the h**l am i supposed to get this thing to the trails???

(i cant rely on a friend)

not easy----- get 4 stroke their quiet and when u move out u can change it into enduro so u can go on the road if you get the right kind (with a stator) but for now you can ride it, just if a cop comes shut it off and walk it.

Well c**p- I read the answer about "your parents can afford a Mercedes and a Porsche so you must be a wannabe" and that was kinda freakin rude, man. You do have a dilemma.  

OK.

Dirt bike = off-road only. If you drive down the street in your mom's car, off the side of the road is off-road. The gravel. The grass. h**l- the woods farther off the road. I don't know how far the trails are from your house, but if they're within 5 or 6 miles I'd say spend a good day blazing your own freakin trail from the house to where you ride. Use Google Earth to locate power line rights-of-way, gas line rights-of-way, rivers or creeks, whatever. If the property on the way there isn't fenced, you can buzz (gently) right across God's green earth and go straight to your destination.

If the trails are 30 miles across town and out in the sticks, and you can't rely on a friend (and no, I don't think a CLK or any Porsche except a Cayenne can attach a trailer hitch) and YOU don;t have a little truck yourself, you really don't have any good options. You can't rent a fookin truck every time you want to ride- h**l I rode every weekend!  I had to buy a truck. I had a car, I needed a truck, I made it happen.

A little Toyota or Nissan truck would be useful anyway- think about when you guys go get a Christmas tree, or clean out the basement and need to haul off a bunch of c**p. I bet your parents would welcome the utility of a small truck. Those're the only options I see for ya.

GL dude- sorry about the fix you're in, but hey at least you got the bike. Now just bag a truck and you're in.

push it or you can't...

unless you get your parents to put a hitch on either (they make hitches for all kinds of cars, if a ford taurus has one, i'm sure both porsche and mecredes do somewhere) and get a trailer....

btw i'm in your same situation... i'm about fed upw ith this **** and about to start riding on the back roads clear across town to get to the local trails.... (it's alteast 4 miles)

maybe you could talk to your parents tho... riding a dirt bike on public roads isn't legal...but i ride mine through my neighborhood all the time durring lighter traffic times (we do live on a semi-main road..... durring work commutes and lunch commutes it gets used pretty well, but other times it's dead as h**l... one car every few minutes or so) i've had cops actually pass me up MULTIPLE times... none have even ever turned around to come after me...

i don't cause problems, i don't take it out before 10am (most poeple are at work by 8, but i wait til 10 just incase) even then i won't rev it high until noon.... i'll just cruise until then, even to a point of bogging down my engine, i'm extremely curteous...

i ALWAYS give other cars the right of way... they have a right to be on the road, i don't.... my traffic laws are simple, follow all the normal laws of the road, and my own set ones.... for example, if a car and i come to an intersection, i treat it as a stop sign whether i have the right of way or not (except the main-main road, because me stopping would casue an accident most likely... this road has the right of way all the way down the road... except for one main intersection where it's a four way stop, until then the cross streets are the only stop signs)

i'm definately in your shoes tho.... i've wanted a bike all my life, but i don't have a way to get it anywhere... i just got it a few months ago and we haven't gotten the chance to get a trailer/hitch yet....

if you have railroads, you can try and plot a course using those.... just run along side them (assuming they're not in the middle of a street lol)

You can rent trucks from dealerships like ford, dodge, and chevy.

If your parents can afford a mercedes and a porsche then why cant' you get a truck. it sounds like your a noob, a wannabe.

a small box trailer is like an 8th the cost of the porshes rego!

well if you can get a tow ball for one of their cars get a trailer. otherwise you have abit of pushing ahead of you:))

here in va the law is ruogh on riding dirt bikes or atvs on the road we do a little thing called a ideal walk put the bike in first gear and let it ideal which can be hard for 2 storkes and just walk beside it keeps from pushing which can where you out fast . after a few times of this you will be asking the nieghbors to cut throw thier yawns to get the riding .plan a route get premmission to cross proprty and make your own trail rember tread lightly on others proprty . next if your realy big into riding find ya a buddy with a truck and a bike .rember that free ride to go ride might cost you a bike when someone crashs it out
