i have a kx65 im buying a used yz 85 i need to know how much faster the 85 is and how much more horsepower before i spend my money. thanks!

the 85 has way more powerband and top end speed, it has about 3 to 5 more horsepower

The step up from a 65cc to a 85cc is a very normal step, you will have more power but the change will be very natural. You will ride it the same but you need to respect the difference of power until you get use to it. Just about all riders make the change from the 65 to the 85, your doing the right thing, unless the 85 is much older than the 65.

its alot faster!!but if you want to feel the power then change your sprockets to a smaller front and a bigger rear
