Dirt bike seat hight?

Question

when you buy a dirt bike can you take it to a machanic and have them make it lower to the ground, caus i have the skill to ride a 250cc dirt bike but the seat is to tall

You can take the cover off and trim the seat down yourself as we have had to do this for my son's bike when he was younger.  We used an electric knife to cut the foam seat and then put the cover back on and just used a staple gun to staple the cover tight over the seat again. If you are careful you can cut the seat into two pieces neatly and then if necessary put the piece back when you grow.

There are two options and you can do one or both if needed. You can buy a linkage for most bikes that lowers the rear suspension, I think about an inch and a half but it may be more, then of course you slide your fork tubes up in the triple clamps the same amount to even the bike out. The second option is lower seat foam and the recovering the seat.

Sounds like you already have a smaller cc bike. Why are u going to get a 250cc and spend money trying to re-size the height? If your trying to get faster you should just keep the one you have and practice on that one.
