Dirt bikes on certain Vermont class roads?

I have heard that you can ride your dirt bikes on certain vermont class roads. If so would you need a permit and where would i find one?

  1. the only law i know of anywhere that gives off-road vheicles the right to get on public roads, is in montana i believe... it says atvs can ride on the road so long as they are within 2 miles of an offroad trail....

    if the law is anything similar, you don't need a permit... you MIGHT need to have a liscense, but i'm not totally sure.  


  2. i know it sux but i dont think you can ride dirt bikes on any road.....

    this radius thing shawn said about might apply but in america its probably the only law allowing dbikes on the road, some quite country towns will have police give you the slip becuase theres no harm to anyone but thats it, permits dont apply becuase dbikes r unregistered bikes without indicators light etc.... unless its road/trail
