Dirt bikes or 4 wheelers?

I wouldn't say any 4-wheeler, but most of em. The reason is because dirt bikes only have two wheels meaning less weight more speed, and they can travel faster.

It all depends on the rider, his ability and the conditions. If it were up a snd dune like comp hill out at Glamis or Dumont Dunes in California, and the cr500af was racing a stock quad, then maybe, if that same cr500af was racing a heavily modified quad, then no, it would lose, however, on a track or out in the desert, it would be faster, but again, it comes down to the riders ability. there are some really fast quad riders out there, and some really fast dirt bike riders too.

this is a question that is extremely hard to answer......

Dirt bikes....easier to ride on trails and get through narrow areas.

When you say 4 wheeler, I take it you mean quad?

It would stand a darn good chance, but I.ve seen a quad with a Garrett T4 Turbo on it! this was out pulling a Lambo car (dont know which model)

On the dirt though, I would like to think the CR would win.

Quads are slow as turkeys, generally. Yes you could put $50,000 into one and make it fast. It would take at least a 1000cc turbocharged engine. That would be as stupid as putting rockets on rollerskates. Quads are dangerous at anything above 40 mph.

Anyone that would say that any quad is faster than a stock  CR500AF has never been on the CR or has seen one accelerate in a straight line. Try riding one first before answering or find one to race against you, it would not even be close!

There are very few bikes, let alone quads that can keep up.

The Honda CR500AF is INSANELY fast, they have like 70hp and weigh 220lbs To get the same power to weight ratio the 450lb quad would need on the order of 180 hp! Get real here quad lovers.

Honda quit making them 10 years ago because there are few riders who could handle that much power without totally wearing themselves out.

If you answer quad than you have no idea what you are talking about...!!!
