  1. What exactly would you like to know? Where to ride? What kind of a bike would suit you? Need more information please...

  2. there is a ton of information about dirtbiking. Lets start with the different diciplines.

There is motocross, hare scrambles, off road, desert, enduro, supermoto, etc.

Motocross takes place all over the country. Usually the bikes used are for closed course use only. The tracks are made of natrual and man made obsticals, and the tracks are made of dirt, sand, etc.

Hare Scrambles are a mixture of desert, and motocross, these races are held in a variety of locations.

Desert races are held in the desert. Unlike motocross, the desert races are sometime from point a to point b, but sometimes use a lap format. The laps in desert races vary from 10-70 miles per lap.

Enduro races are usually held up in the mountains, or on whats called single track areas. Mostly wooded areas.

Supermoto is a cross between motocross and road racing.

there is a ton of info on all the different types of dirtbiking, that it would take all day to type on this thing....LOL

  3. Correct Milkman.

We need more info before we give you more info!

Other then that, that fella above has done a good job.

  4. Well lets see.

Dirtbikeing has a few different classes, there are hair scrambles, motocross, supercross, enduro, freestyle, and one more but I cannot remember its name.

Hair scrambles are trail races require quick reflexes and stamina. Motocross is tracks out side and are usually longer than supercross tracks. Supercross is all about speed, big air, and tight turns, enduro is a race across deserts and on roads, its all about stamina, freestyle is about big air and big tricks, the last one is a bike designed for jumping over obstacles, and bunny hopping, fun but its not something that you can just sit and cruise on.

Now there are two different motor type of dirt bikes, two strokes, and four strokes. Two strokes ave no valves and have a very high top end when you have the RPM's high, so they are good for racing super cross and motocross.

Four strokes are trail bikes, but recently people are using them for racing because of there power and low end.

There are also a few companies that produce dirt bikes.

The top brands are Honda, Yahmaha, Suzuki, Kawasaki, and KTM.

If your just starting to ride i would recommend starting with a  150-250 CC bike, also get it in a four stroke, instead of two stroke.

I would recommend researching the different company and prices before choosing a bike, also only buy a used bike if it has minimal repairs. If the engine was rebuilt then do not buy it because it WILL have problems. Also try not to buy one that was used for racing, that means there is a lot of wear and tear on the bike.

I hope all this helps you.
