Dirty Deal to seal victory at Chepstow – Handicap Hurdle Preview
The legendary trainer Tony Carroll’s talented mare, Dirty Deal, is vying for completing her hat-trick in Certainly Wood Novices’ Handicap Hurdle which is set to be held at Chepstow on Saturday, February 25.
The Class 4 race of 2m110y distance has 9 entries including Shallow Bay, Pour Changer, Dirty Deal, Finch Flyer, Argaum, Southerness, Gross Prophet, Hit The Switch and Bendant.
Along with Dirty Deal, two other runners named as Bendant and Argaum stand as favourites for the £2,274 contest.
Here we draw a sketch of each of the threesome in order to justify why they are above all.
Dirty Deal
The brilliant mare knows well how to deal with challenges. In her short career, the dashing runner has accomplished three excellent victories. After bagging her maiden success in May 2010, the Jason Tucker-owned mare won two consecutive races during the
first month of the calendar year.
On January 12 and 20, Dirty Deal displayed outstanding performances and thrived. At the moment, she is carrying sufficient form which depicts that the eight-year-old will make a mark in today’s clash, having 95 percent chances to finish first.
Bendant
After a series of 11 failures, Debra Hamer’s black gelding earned his first ever victory on February 19, 2012. This fresh success is perceived to have hiked his confidence greatly.
As a whole, he has been an average performer. He now seems to be in a position to unleash enough firepower in today’s marathon and get at least second position for him.
Argaum
Evan Williams’ 22-race veteran gelding won last on September 29, 2011. In his last two races during January 2012, he finished 5th and 6th each. Overall, he has two triumphs to his credit.
The gelding is likely to display a good run at Chepstow and bag the third top position.
Conclusion
Each of the above three runners owns enough talent and strength. So, Handicap Hurdle will be a heated competition. However, victory seems to be leaning towards Dirty Deal. Good luck to all the runners.
