Dirty diaper smells?

My son's room has had a dirty diaper smell since he started eating solid foods. I was wondering, does anyone know of a good fan or air freshiner that's safe for babies and can take away this awful smell?

  1. you should get glade scented oils.

put it out of reach though.

  2. Fresh air is best, since you don't want your baby inhaling the chemicals in air fresheners.  Do you leave soiled diapers in his room?  I put wet diapers in a diaper pail and emptied it daily, but the stinkers went straight outside to the garbage can.

  3. Normally getting rid of the nappies will take the smell away.

Use some bi-carb soda. Sprinkle the powder in the nappy bin and on the carpet, wait half an hour or so then vacuum it up. Leave the powder in the bin until you empty it then replace with fresh powder. It should keep any odours at bay.

Also air out the room as much as possible.

  4. huggies new bio degradable nappie bags

    or

    airwick

  5. Open the windows let the room air? Is there perhaps a dirty nappy/diaper lieing somewhere, because i have never experienced that. Do you have a bin in his room where you put the dirty ones? maybe if he has soiled his nappy you could try what i used to do was knock the poo off her nappy down the toliet then put her nappy in a nappy bag so the poo wasnt lieing in the bin.

  6. Maybe you should check the room for a dirty nappy? We had the same problem with my niece only to discover she had taken off a dirty nappy and it had some how ended up down the back of her cup board. Yeah NASTY!!

bicarbonate of soda is a great neutralizer, also try airing the room regularly.
