Disability Children's Check?

My boyfriend's dad is disabled, and my bf is getting checks in the mail because of it (his dad has workmans comp). He wants a job also, but last time he went to the social sec. office for his check, they said he'd have to make minimum wage a month or something? How much can he get a month without his check being canceled? (lives in tx if that helps)

Contact  local  office.  Have  him  ask  for the ino on  right to  work program.  Sorry I  dont  have  more  detail. There  is  a  limit  amount  you can  earn  and  programs  can  change  so try  stay as  well informed as  possible..Also  some  employers  work with SS  dept in these  situations  but it is  up to the  employed  to  track  income  and  inform  employer  if  getting  to  near  limit  allowed.  I  learned  this  from  friend  works  with  Wal  Mart.
