  1. hi bounce ,bounce you can use your daughters mobility to lease/hire a car on a three year contract , where as you have it three years and then you give it back, or you can buy it off the lease company. or you can buy a second hand used car but must be around three years old under a certain mileage, be withing a certain price range, you would need to get it inspected by the AA or RAC to make sure that its fit for purpose ... this cost over 120 pounds but is worth every penny if your buying a car for around 4000 pounds. renting or hiring the car for three years your get mot's free insurance and tax. and servicing. buying you have to meet all these extras as its your own vehicle. you do get free tax on your own vehicle though... to qualify for a vehicle you must be in receipt of higher rate mobility, and they will automatically deduct payments from your daughters allowance before its paid into her account, that is the same in both examples if she buys a car or rents/hires one

  2. You can get a car from mobility on 'contract hire' and you should not have to pay for anything except  for damages to the car (not accidents) burns, stains, scratches, tyres if you get a puncture that cannot be repaired.  The insurance, servicing etc is taken care of.  Most cars you can choose do not require a deposit.

What I would advise you is, that if for any reason you lost your DLA mobility for your child, the car is no longer yours!  It has to go back.  Have a look at buying a car on normal HP, explain to sales man that you get DLA but you want the car to belong to you at end.
