Question:

Disability money question?

I thought that when you were put on disability, you would get a check every month depending on how much you got paid and how much you worked in years prior to the disability, plus so much money for every child you have under 18.

Well, my friends dad was put on disability and she gets $300 every month until shes 18 from it. I thought her parents were just giving it to her to pay for college, because it would be extra money anyway considering her mom works, but she INSISTS that the money is sent directly to her.

What do you think? I don't think that sounds right at all! Its confusing to me because what would a 14 year old need with $300 dollars a month. 18 year olds would need it more and they don't get it!

Thanks for you help!!
