I was just issued plates because I'm a 60 percent disabled veteran. I have a clean driving record, but was wondering if police are less likely to ticket you with them?

  1. Nope doesn't matter...

I just paid one two months ago...

  2. No,

they don't care who you are when ya break the law.

  3. I don't agree with the other answers.  Whether anyone agrees with it or not, common sense will tell you that (within reason) most LEO's will lean more towards giving you a break.  If what you did is in the general area of something that the officer could either charge you or give you a warning, you will likely get the warning.  I'm not talking about something serious or if you were stupid enough to tell the officer that you "deserve special treatment", but relatively minor offences where the officer's judgement call is appropriate.  Sorry to those other answers because technically they are correct, but in real life?  Just promise me that you will not abuse that licence plate because if you are indeed a disabled veteran you are my hero and the hero of most citizens.  If you are just giving us a bunch of B.S. then you should be ashamed of yourself!!

  4. Whatever is on your license plate shouldn't matter to an officer.  If you are breaking the law, then you are breaking the law, no matter who you are or what you have done.

I do respect you for being a veteran though, but again, the law is the law.
