  1. Disadvantages

    - cluncky, difficult to carry or put in pocket

    - need  to constantly recharge - must travel with recharging cord or cradle

    - most PDAs have incompatable formats for transferring information between unlike brands

    - easily broken if dropped

    - screens easily scratched if used a lot

    - easy to lose stylus for Palms

    - limited video playback capability - no Flash support

    - cameras don't zoom or have flash

    - can be addicitive (i've checked my blackberry 3 times since starting this list)

    - multi-tasking can cause accidents - texting while driving or walking or biking!

  2. My boyfriend has everything stored in his PDA -- appointments, phone numbers, you name it.  We've been dating for a year and a half, and he doesn't know my phone number.  He can call me at home, but only if he looks me up in the phone book.  If I ask him if he wants to have lunch on Friday, and he doesn't have his PDA, he has no idea if he's free or not.  PDAs make people lazy.

If one is stolen, and you have a lot of personal info in them, you are so screwed, and you can kiss your identity goodbye.  (Ever hear the story of the guy who stole a woman's cell phone, went through her contact list, found her hubby who she had listed as 'sweetie', and sent him a text asking for their bank PIN?  Hubby gave it to the crook, and the crook wiped their account.)

If the battery dies, you lose it, you break it ... again, screwed.

There are a couple for you.  :)

  3. easy to break

    not cheap

    short battery life

    can be stolen easily

  4. I've a Palm Treo 650. Disadvantages? I think for me is that I can receive MagicSMS/MMS that is provided from my phone service carrier. Its like a picture message but I can't receive it. My PDA camera sucks and I keep losing my stylus. But other than that everything is okay.
