Disappointing exam results..now what?

Okay so they may seem good to some but they are disappointing to me. (All A's B's & C's)

I became ill and i missed the last half of the school year so people are telling me it is due to that.

I just feel like my time at school has been such a waste...the amount of time i put in, to receive those grades...to me i just can't justify it.

Today i went to my college to sign up and they're only accepting me due to my doctors note. I just feel very looked down on, and i have so much pressure on me now to shine.

I was going to take Bio, Chem at A levels along 2 others but now i'm thinking...if i can't get a B in biology at GCSE its going to take A LOT of hard work to get an A at A level. I feel as if i'm depressed and as if i have no energy to do all that hard work over again and possibly not get the A needed for uni.

Should i rethink my career path?

Thanks for reading. :/

  1. yeah you should

  2. A-levels are different. You missed half the school year and still passed which shows you are capable. You need to look foward now, a-levels are a lot of hard work for everyone there's no reason for you not to get A's. Just because you didn't get a B in biology at gcse doesn't mean you won't do better at a-level.

  3. Maybe you should retake the key subjects that you need for your career path and still chase your career. As your not doing as well as you could have is because of an illness there's no reason as to why you can't fullfil your ideal chosen career.

good luck and if you work hard now to make up for your illness, it will pay off in the future--x

  4. It seems you have lost your confidence and motivation to work hard.

Whether or not you are going to change your career path is up to you.

I suggest you need to get your motivation and confidence back in you.

Otherwise whatever subject you are going to do, you will bound to give up half way through.

Try to imagine that you are going to get an A (or whatever grade you want) in everything and visualize how you are going to feel when you achieve your A's. Do that everyday, the effect won't apply to you straight away but by time, you will feel confident and motivated.
