Disasters and Crisis Management?

People!!

I have been asked to do a Crisis management essay on a disaster or event which by using better crisis management (obviously!) could have been avoided or lessened.The lecturer said that there would be extra marks if the disaster or crisis hadn't previously been covered or was a new angle e.g. not the old ones - Barings, Piper Alpha,chernobyl,herald of free enterprise or the new french banker because we did that in class.

Give me a disaster People!!

The Minneapolis bridge collapse happened quite recently, I'm sure you could come up with a new angle on that :)
