Im a pretty good disc golfer, have a rating at 962. I was wondering what is your close range (30ft) go to putter? Any why you like it?

  1. I use an Innova Aviar,  I probably use it all the time because that's what I started with.  Just pick up any putter you want and get used to the feel of it and you should be fine.

  2. putt with whatever feels comfortable.  it's all about the time spent practicing.  you could constantly be switching and the manufacturers will keep making putters for you to try.

look at kenny, putting with the same disc for 15 years.

personally, I like innova's proline/pro/se rhyno or discraft's soft magnet.

  3. there are so many great putters ou there it's hard to choose a "best"  i carry about 20 or so discs with me, depending on the course, and 8-10 of them are usually putters.  if you have an arm, a putter can be your saving grace. BUT, you said "go to" putter.....

my main putters that i use within the putting circle are all discraft challengers.  the one i use the most is a Crystal challenger because it feels big, it's heavy at 179 grams, and it holds a great line.  if i'm putting with a bad back wind, i use an elite-x challenger just because it's lighter and wont drop as severely as the crystal will, as back winds kill discs.  in weather colder that 55ish F, i use a elite-x soft challenger because the plastic stays gummier in the colder weather.

  4. i actually use my putter from further than that even sometimes. i think disc golf disks are the biggest rip-off. I have one long driver, one middle range and a putter. That's it.  h**l i don't even use the putter sometimes, i just use my midrange.
