Disclaimer set to bring up his first victory in Irish Stallion Farms EBF Maiden Stakes
Disclaimer will be chasing his first ever victory in the sport, by claiming the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Maiden Stakes at Brighton in England on Friday, September 7, 2012. He did get a few chances of doing so earlier, but disappointed his fans. However,
things look brighter for him today and his team will be eying a cash prize of £3,170 from the class-5 encounter.
A total of seven young runners have been attracted towards the 6 furlong 209 yard event, which is scheduled to start at 15:45 GMT. They are all trained very well and have the ability to fight for a victory. However, the one who handles pressure better will
finish ahead of the rest in the end.
All of the participants have tried their luck at least once in their career, but have not been able to take the top spot. A few of them failed miserably, thus they will be under immense pressure.
However, a couple of contestants came extremely close to victory and the punters will be risking more bets in their favour. One of them is Altharoos, who has got an extremely good speed and is all set to entertain the spectators at Brighton.
The young colt has participated in just one race until now and he was priced 3 to 1 in it. He put together a solid show in the end and secured the third spot. He will be aiming to take a couple of more steps further in order to make his team proud today.
On the other hand, Disclaimer has also been impressive in the races he has taken part in so far. He made his debut in June this year and was unable to make a solid impression back then, finishing fifth overall.
However, the two-year-old colt did a much better job in his next race, securing the third spot in it. He was expected to be competitive back then and did not disappoint his fans in the end.
In his most recent outing, the Sir Henry Cecil’s trainee was given the best odds for victory, but he had to settle for the runner up position in the end. He needs a stronger effort in order to claim his maiden win in the sport. His partner will be experienced
jockey, Tom Queally, who has been accompanying him since the start of his career.
