Disclosure laws in buying a new or used car?

in north carolina does a car dealer have to tell a customer that the vehicle you buy was in an accident. i just got a saturn vue and have a suspicion that the car was hit in the front end or in the drivers side of the car

  1. usually only if damage was over 25% of the value of the vehicle AND the dealer knows about it.


  2. That relies on the dealer knowing about an accident.  We get cars all the time that have been in undisclosed accidents.  Customers are never going to tell us "Oh yeah, I hit a tree and had teh front end rebuilt".

  3. Well, you got the car inspected first, so there was no mystery here.

    Oh no, you are another one of those buyers...you still have no recourse.
