Discolored carpet from shampoo?

I shampooed my white carpet and when it dried it has a yellow discoloration. How can I remove the discoloration?

  1. OxyClean will do it. You can try what the Britney Spear's Hat answerer said as well. That may work. I only use white vinegar to clean the coffee maker, but a lot of people use it. OxyClean will definately do it, no matter what.


  2. change shampoo to something different. Do the carpet again and used filtered water also. Buy the water from the store or use a Pure water filter the screws onto your faucet. it could be the iron in your water or it could have been the cleaner. I own a cleaning business here in Maryland and i use Woolite carpet cleaner, it sells at Wal-mart by the vacuum cleaners and not by the carpet shampoo section.

    Let me know what happens..

  3. by the sound of it the rinsing was not properly done ,rewash and rinse and this time use white vinegar to the rinse water.
