What should I do to keep a non-used disconnected freezer smelling fresh and prevent mold?

  1. Try to keep it open a bit to get the air moving in there. That should do it

    and using baking soda also won't do any harm.


  2. I used baking soda in mine when I moved & my stuff ewas in storage for 3 months.  Be sure you clean it really well with bleach and water mixture before you store it.

  3. Remove the door this will do it. You will only need to remove 6 phillip head screws.

  4. Disconnect it and clean it well.  Leave the door open so it can dry out completely.  Put a box of baking soda in it and close door.  

  5. store a box of baking soda in it.  that usually helps kill the smell and moisture  

  6. KEEP IT OPEN

    CIRCULATE AIR AROUND IT IF YOU CAN, I.E., WITH A FAN, EVEN IF OCCASIONALLY

    PUT IN MILDEW CONTROL BAGS OR BAKING SODA
