Disconnected iPod when screen said 'Do Not Disconnect'. Any ways to fix?

My iPod was accidentally disconnected when I plugged it into my computer and the iPod screen said 'Do not disconnect." It is now frozen, the time and everything, and the keypad was locked when I plugged it in so now the reset (pressing the center button and the play button at the same time) won't work.

I've tried plugging it back in to the computer with the lock button off and iTunes up, and as I said, I've tried resetting it. Any suggestions on how to fix it?

press menu and play untill screen turns black and a apple will show up. just wait untill it comes back on and it should be fine

I've done this many times.

I always just let the battery die and then charge it back up and its back to normal.
