Disconnecting a add on from verizon

so i have a add on, a security add on from verizon and i find it to be useless and I'm paying for it monthly, when i call the the verizon company and ask on the disconnecting my service part would they ask why im disconnecting?

They might, but who cares you are paying for a service you find useless.  So if asked say " I do not need that service, thank you"  they should take care of it.  If not they will tell you how to.  Good luck, verizon service people are very nice and helpful.
