Discontinues 12w6 I seized my sub and i do want to fix it! any ideas??

i believe the term is Frozen? i used this speaker for 7 years no problems than one day is seized on my.. do you guys know if the whole cone needs to be replace or just the dvc ? if so where do i go to get my parts i wanna fix it myself! I have been looking online for a lil bit and havnt found too much with reconning or just dvc's but if anyone has a lead let me know and feel free to post here or email no worries. im lookin at this as a science project. I already bought a new one just lookin to learn something more. first time speaker repairer here! Thanks for your time guys!

Your going to need a recone kit, not sure if JL sells them.

What your going to do is get a cone which will have the VC attached. You pull the old one out and slide the new one in, but it's not that easy. You need to make sure you have the VC centered in the motor, else it's going to rub.
