Question:

Discrimination against stags in bars?

I live in Hyderabad. I read from dating books that bars and clubs are the best places for finding girls. So I went to Bottles n Chimney. There was a plate at the entrance saying "couples only". So I went to Ten Downing Street. The guy at the entrance said the same. I feel discriminated. I don't like to drink (!@#$ that bitter liquid) but I planned to go to bars only to date girls. What is the use of these bars if they allow only couples who are already bf and gf? There is no use of the bars then, for finding dates, right? Does anyone feel the same way I feel? If bars are not the place to find girls then where can you? Workplace? It is unprofessional (and many companies have policies against workplace dating).

What is the situation in bars in Bangalore etc?

  1. "but I planned to go to bars only to date girls."

You just answered your own question. I don't think it's fair, but it's obvious this place is trying to *not* be a pick up bar (A place to meet girls, etc). If they don't want your business, then too bad for them, they don't get your money. Find a bar that does accept you.
