Question:

Discrimination at work?

My employer hasn't been discriminatory to myself, but is horribly so towards my co workers. I'm a white slim female.

She lined up some of the new staff and literally picked out the ones that she didn't want. Her reason, she doesn't want fatties working for her.

The black staff are not allowed to use the same facilities as us because, "they have germs". And my coworker was told that,"she knows her kind!"

I'm so sick of this. How can she treat people like this? It can't be legal. I can't stand up myself, because I really need this job. What advice can I give them?

  1. tell the people who were fired to go to a lawyer, that is disgusting behaviour and it is illegal,

  2. its not, check EEOC

  3. This employer is not a good one to work for. She do not treat people fairly and with respect. People working for her are not happy to do work and this may effect their attitude toward work.  And as you are also not happy working for her, it is best you look for other options. Otherwise, it may even effect your health.
