How many gallons does an adult discus need?

  1. I wouldn't give an exact volume, as there are far more important factors (foot print, filtration, social arrangement), but I will say that I wouldn't keep a single Discus or a pair of adults in less than a 40 gallon tank, but a 55 gallon tank should be fine for 2 pairs.


  2. I'd go for as many as u have room for and in a tank with plenty of plants, If for multiple fish go for around 120 gallons plus.


  3. They need at least 25 gallons each, and they benefit from a tall tank with lots of driftwood.
