Discussing relative uncertainty?

I have to write a conclusion and we found the uncertainty of two things. What does relative uncertainty? compare?

    What were the two things you "found the uncertainty of"?  What did you measure about them?

    "Relative uncertainty" usually means the uncertainty divided by the actual measurement.  For instance, if you measure the length of your foot and it's 9" long and your ruler gives you an uncertainty of 1/4", then the relative uncertainty is 0.25" / 9", or about 2.78%.  (Relative uncertainty is usually given as a percentage.)
