ok, my mom likes to watch 'who wants to be a millionaire' right? well, you know if you pause the show for more than two hours it goes on and you lose the show? well, she WILL NOT record the show (she wants me to do it) and so i make a timer that will record all shows. well, for some strange reason, get this, her shows (which have been programed on her tv) are recording on MY TV! it gets on my nerves because it cancels out any of my shows that i wanna record. I tell her to hurry up and watch her shows, but like all parents shes stubborn.

(i don't mind about calling in to dish network, but if you have a better way, please answer soon!)

thanx

  1. If you have a 2 channel DVR like mine you have "DVR 1" and "DVR 2".  DVR 1 is probably your mom's TV and DVR 2 is linked to your TV.  From either TV go to the timers.  I do this by pressing the DVR button on the remote three times, then select TIMERS.  If you scroll through the list you can see which DVR (1 or 2) the show is set to record on.  So whenever you select a show to record, just double check which it is set to record on.  If it is set to the wrong tc, change it.  I hope this helps!!
