Dish TV questions?

If you have whatever the latest DVR receiver is for Dish Network:

1) How far in advance does the guide go?

2) Is there a Season pass feature similar to Directv?

My Directv receiver is dying, Sat 2 is nearly dead. So I need to decide if I'm going to switch to Dish to get new hardware for free (with 2 year contract) or pony up $100 for a new receiver from Directv (with no contract).

On the receiver that I have which is  the Dish DVR 625, the guide goes nine days in advance and updates once every day at any time you choose.

There are Season pass like features on the Dish DVR.  You can set a recording to record all episodes, new episodes, once weekly, daily, mon-fri, or only on one occasion.  There is also a feature called the Dish Pass which allows you to record all episodes of a program on all channels you receive.

Dish 522 and 722 recievers have 14 day program guide and update every nigth.

there is no season pass per say but you can specify on your DVR to record all new episodes or all episoded of a certain program.
