Dishnetwork DVR to PC?

Is there anyway to transfer the recorded videos from a dishnetwork DVR to an average PC

Unfortunately not to that average pc. There is a way to transfer to a device called the archos. You will need a receiver in the vip series. Here is a link for more info.
