Dishwasher Grit?

Question

Hi,
I have a dishwasher BOSCH around 4 years old. It has been fine but has for past couple months been leaving a sand-like grit inside glasses and on plates. This is nothing that I can pinpoint as having come from the dirty dishes - food on anything placed in to be washed, its driving me nuts!

Can you help??
