  1. What's fairy liquid? Have a bubble party! Meanwhile, clean up the suds with a bucket and some water, hopefully there's a sink nearby. Just scoop up the bubbles with your hands and put them in the bucket or sink. There's probably not that much water in the dishwasher and just bubbles, right? Try opening the door and checking it out. Have a towel on hand and lay it at the base of the dishwasher. Empty the water out by hand with a cup and bucket. Then, scoop out as much soap as possible. Run it again on a light cycle and keep an eye on it! No more soap until it runs like normal!

  2. Washing up liquids ie Fairy liquid, are very bad for health, you have to make sure that it is ALL rinsed off, as it takes very little to attack the lining of your stomach and cause all sorts of ailment, so be very careful with this as it is made to take grease off plates, and works well but it's not meant to take the sensitive lining off your stomach and bowels.

  3. You should NEVER do this, dishwasher tablets are LOW foam for a reason, Fairy liquid will make 20 times the amount of suds leading to it overflowing and then you can get water into the electrics, scoop out as much as you can then keep putting in clean water and scooping until its all gone.

If ever you wish to clean out the dishwasher you can buy de scaler from most good appliance shops, if you cant get any just put it on a wash and when its on the main hot wash chuck the contents of a bottle of pure lemon juice inside, it will make it like new, it also removes the limescale.

*****If the reason you are trying to clean it is poor results make sure that all the holes in the spray arms are clear as it is quite common for these to block up and as one on each arm is a jet that actually turns the arm it will stop it working correctly.

  4. To be honest why don.t you put your washing in the dishwasher, it does the same wash but not spin,

  5. get some hairspray or deoderant and spray the foam with it it will dissolve it pretty quickley

  6. Fairy Liquid and dishwashers are NOT designed for each other. ".......normally it would be fine..." No it wouldn't.  You have seen the result. You can either leave it with the door open for a day or so - and then wipe out. Or you can do it now. Or you could put a cold rinse several times to clear much of it out.

In future , use something like a multi purpose cleaner to wipe around.

If youre not using it for a few days - or going on hol and want to avid smells - put some bicarbonate of soda in a bowl and leave it in there - it absorbs the smells - then throw it away. (works for fridge as well) Tesco sell Bicarb of Soda in the Eco section. You can use it to freshen your carpets as well.

  7. If you sprinkle vinegar over the foam the bubbles will break down. (acid versus alkali = neutralise) Chuck in some cold water and move the cycle onto a drain section. Do this a couple of times then run the machine on a rinse cycle after squirting some rinse aid directly into the machine. Well you won't do that again now...

  8. I guess yu can run the dishwasher again w;/just water.

Only use dishwasher soap, not the kind meant for hand washing dishes.

  9. Keep putting it on without any soap or detergent.
