Question:

Dishwasher drain?

I removed the no return valve and there is no debris inside and the impeller turns freely. And as soon as you press the start button in a wash programme the main circulation motor runs .(( All Miele dishwashers do this when you press the start button )). So I guess the next step would be to remove the drain pipe from the sink end and use a snake to remove any debris,

For there is no way I could get to the other end by the dishwasher .it runs along inside the cabinet. Does this sound ok,

ps I'm a armature to this .husband is away on a business trip help please thank you

  1. miele d/w are the worst to work on in most cases you must pull the d/w out from under the counter. do not try to repair yourself.

  2. I would guess the dishwasher doesn't drain out water. If the water goes in and doesn't come out then it should flood the kitchen. If it doesn't do that then the inlet might be closed. I would check that first. If it doesn't drain the water then there should be a pump to pump out and possibly a valve to open to pump out For that you will need to open it at the back and test. I would get a repairman to have a look. It is not that likely that the pipe is completely blocked up. To start at the sink end might not clear a blockage. I would take it out from the diswasher end and clean it from that end.
