Dishwasher will not run after filled with water

Question

I can hear the dishwasher cycle start and usaully I can hear the water going into the tub but it only trickles in. When water is in the bottom of the tub it will not wash.  The cancel cycle works and drains.  this is a Kitchen Aide Model #KUDIO2IRWH1
