what is CHRDSK and where do i find it this has something to do with a Diskeeper programm

  1. CHKDSK, to be correct, is a program that scans your computer for errors and corrupted files.

    Go to My Computer > right click on C: > properties > tools

    CHKDSK is part of the Windows Operating System and is not Diskeeper specific. It is used to check the file system for errors to ensure file safety and integrity. If there is an error in the file system, the volume will be marked as 'dirty' and Diskeeper will not defragment the volume for reasons of safety until the error is fixed. CHKDSK will fix the error.

    You can run CHKDSK from the command line or from My Computer, as explained here:
