I dislocated my knee a month and a half ago.

I've been going 2 physical therapy

I've been walking the last few days without my crutches and everythings been fine.

But today there is a very sharp burning pain, like 100 needles, giong in a straight small line at the top of my knee to the inside where it was dislocated.

Is this supposed to happen?

Is it supposed to be part of healing process?

SHould I stop walking on it?

I am not going 2 see a docter, nor do I plan 2

  1. I do know from experience here. I have had 2 knee surgeries and still deal with chronic pain issues. It should not be hurting as much as you as saying it is. Here are my recomendations. First, get back on the crutches. This will help relieve pressure. 2. Ice it and stay off it for awhile. 3. Take some advil or ibeprofen for pain and inflamation.

  2. I had popped mine out of place about two weeks ago, tore some tissue, plus my mcl.  I've been having the same pain as you described.  I asked my orthopedic about it the other day and he said to keep it elevated along with putting ice on it every so often and it should help (which it has somewhat). He also said that the pain could be from it being swollen and/or where the nerves are involved.  Hope this helps.
