  1. I have never heard of the SO CA discount ticket. But I'm guessing that since it's in the form of a gift card... it's probably something that you will exchange at the main entrance, ticket booths, for the actual ticket. If this is the case, then the ticket you will be given should work in the FastPass machines.

As for the rides themselves... Don't miss Soarin' Over California (Not the fastest, stomach churning ride in the park, but truly the most unique ride in any amusement park, anywhere and not to missed!)

Maliboomer (This ride will be eliminiated in the park's renovation. Ride it while you can)

    California Screamin'

The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror

Grizzly River Run (Warning: You WILL get very wet! But it's well worth it!)

Mullholland Madness (Not the biggest coaster, nor are drops very steep. but the way the curves are designed gives the impression that you will be de-railed and flung off the tracks at any moment.)

    As for Strategy tactics...

As soon as you walk in head to your right, get a fast pass for "Soarin Over California", then head over to the Hollywood Pictures Backlot area and get on "The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror" while it's still a short line. After this, make your way to "The Grizzly River Run", after this ride, check the time, to see if you can use your fast pass on "Soarin", if so, head back to that.

By now lines should be long all around the park. Check when you can get another FastPass for an attraction and grab one as soon as you're eligible. I would choose a Paradise Pier ride for a FastPass about now. Most likely "California Screamin".

As for FastPass rules. Don't think that you can go around gathering up these precious slips of paper. Usually you will be allowed to hold only two FastPasses at any one time. The FastPass itself usually gives you an hour "ride window" and a time when you can get another FastPass. This is what a FastPass looks like http://www.oinc.net/disney/images/fastpa...

Don't forget to eat, and drink plenty of water throughout the day. Dehydration, really encourages fatigue.

As for where to eat. I suggest Downtown Disney. The Rainforest Cafe or ESPN Zone are fun places. If you've never been to one of The Rainforest Cafe locations before, then do treat yourself to this unique dining spot! Go there first, get on the list. After noting your dining time, head to their gift shop, or explore one or two of other shops nearby. The wait time goes pretty fast. I've rarely had to wait longer than 40-45 minutes to be called to my "Safari Adventure" as they refer to the dining experience.

If there's time... A few weeks before you go. Check out the concert list at the The House of Blues Anaheim. They are located in Downtown Disney. If you get tickets to a show, make dinner reservations too. A concert and dinner there always make a great end to a day at Disney.

It's also worth noting that many Downtown Disney restaurants serve breakfast too. So you may want to consider that option. Also Disney's California Adventure is about to start a MAJOR construction project that will begin next year (2009). And is scheduled to be completed in 2012 http://youtube.com/watch?v=R9fdis7nA1w

  2. okay well the best ride is the california screem!! its a rollercoaster that goes upside down!. I rode it about 100 times haha!

Another awesome ride this ferriswheel but the steats go side to side! it is the scaryest thing ever!

  3. Not sure about how the pass would work in a Fastpass machine, but be sure to use it wisely!!  If you like rollar coasters, definitely ride CA screamin'.  Right next to that is the new Toy Story Midway Mania.  This attraction doesn't have fast passes and even if the line wait is 45-60 min., it doesn't take that long.  We recently returned from a trip down there and rode it 3 times.  The line moves fairly fast, so it's not that bad.  Also be sure to hit up Soarin' over CA.  It's an incredible ride but definitely use the fastpass for that.  It's not worth waiting 45 min. in line for that one.  If it's an especially hot day be sure to do Grizzly river run.  you will get wet, but  if you ride it later at night like around 7 or 8 p.m., there often isn't a line.  We rode it once and walked on again!!!!  Be sure to have fun!
